Sweet Pea 'King's Ransom'
'Kings Ransom' Sweet Pea Seeds
Lathyrus odoratus
'Kings Ransom' sweet pea flowers have a unique coloring that almost has a cult following. I've heard the shade described as dusky pink or burnt orange but however you describe it it is always delightful and is a favorite in my cut flower garden. I think the reason the color is so hard to describe is because the flowers change color as they age - check out the photos and videos and you will see what I mean!

🌱 WHY WE START 'King's Ransom' SWEET PEA SEEDS IN ROOTRAINERS
Like all sweet peas, 'King's Ransom' develops a deep root system quickly. Rootrainers encourage strong downward root growth and reduce transplant shock when seedlings are planted into the garden.
We start every Sweet Pea Gardens crop in professional Rootrainers and recommend them to gardeners who want stronger plants and more flowers.

Why We Use Rootrainers at Sweet Pea Gardens
Sweet peas develop long roots quickly. Rootrainers encourage deeper root growth and reduce transplant shock when planting into the garden.
These are the trays we use to start our own sweet pea crop each season.
